Privacy Policy
For the LFResearch Feed Chrome extension · Last updated June 17, 2026
LFResearch Feed is a Chrome side-panel extension that displays public RSS feeds about infrasound and low-frequency noise, and provides two optional forms (an app waitlist and a "Share Your Story" submission). This policy explains what data the extension handles.
What we collect
The extension does not collect, sell, or transmit your browsing history, the pages you visit, or any personal data automatically.
-
•
Local settings. The extension stores your
last-viewed feed tab using Chrome's
storage.local. This stays on your device and is never sent anywhere. - • Forms you choose to submit. If you submit the waitlist or "Share Your Story" form, the information you type — an email address, and optionally a name, location, and your account — is sent to Formspree, which forwards it to LFResearch. We receive only what you voluntarily enter.
Network requests
To display feeds, the extension fetches public RSS data directly from their sources
(Google News, Reddit) and, as fallbacks when a direct
request is unavailable, through rss2json.com and the
allorigins.win CORS proxy. These requests contain only
the public feed URLs being fetched — no personal information.
Third-party content
Feed items link to third-party websites. Opening them is subject to those sites' own privacy policies. Inclusion of a source is not an endorsement.
Data use, sharing, and retention
Information you submit through the forms is used solely to respond to your waitlist request or to review your story. It is not sold, not shared with third parties beyond the form processor (Formspree), and not used for any purpose unrelated to the extension's function.
